Drive workspace library The Drive picker lets other Plato apps reuse workspace files without leaving the workflow. You will see it in places such as image fields, attachment fields, rich content editors, product forms, Docs elements, CMS fields, Bio Link blocks, and message tools.

Choose An Existing File

  1. Open the field that asks for a file.
  2. Click Choose File, Select from drive, or the file button shown by that app.
  3. In Plato Drive, stay on the My Drive tab.
  4. Browse folders if needed.
  5. Select the file.
  6. Click Insert.
The selected file is saved back into the app field.

Upload And Insert

Use the Upload tab when the file is not in Drive yet.
  1. Open the Drive picker.
  2. Go to Upload.
  3. Choose the file from your device.
  4. Wait for the upload to finish.
  5. Confirm the file is selected.
  6. Click Insert.

Single And Multiple Selection

Some fields allow one file. Others allow multiple files. When multiple files are allowed, the picker shows how many files are selected before you insert them. Some fields also limit how many files can be inserted.

Filtered File Lists

Some apps only show the file types they can use. For example:
  • Image fields usually show images.
  • Video blocks usually show videos.
  • Attachment fields may allow several file types.
If a file is missing from the picker, check whether the current field supports that file type.

Keep Shared Assets Stable

When a file is reused by several apps, changing or deleting it has a wider effect. Create a new file when you need a new version for one place only.
