PC Network Setup

Put the printer on the network using a PC, Ethernet cable, browser page, or vendor utility.

Self-Test And Reset

Print status pages, find the IP address, and reset network settings safely.

Add a printer in Plato, enter IP and port settings, choose outputs, and attach it to POS.

What Plato Needs

For network printers, Plato needs:
  1. A printer device record.
  2. The printer IP address.
  3. The printer port, usually 9100.
  4. The correct printer output settings.
  5. A POS device connected to that printer.
  6. Category and order type routing when the printer handles kitchen or bar tickets.
