Use this page as the Epson hub. Pick the exact model when possible because reset buttons, status sheets, and network setup modes differ by model and interface card.

Supported Connections

Many Epson receipt printers use port 9100, but always use the port shown by the printer or network configuration page when it differs.

TM-m30III

Newer TM-m30 setup with status sheet, SimpleAP/Wi-Fi flow, and network checks.

General Epson PC Setup

Use one of these methods:
  1. Connect the printer to the store router or switch, print a status page, then configure Plato with the printed IP.
  2. Connect the printer directly to a PC by Ethernet, set the PC to the same subnet, then use EpsonNet Config or browser config if the model supports it.
  3. Use the model utility, such as TM-T20III Utility or TM-m30 Utility, to change IP, Wi-Fi, and interface settings.
Epson documents EpsonNet Config as the network configuration utility for Epson network printers. Epson TM technical reference guides also describe Feed button menus, self-test modes, status sheets, restore defaults, and interface setup modes.

Configure In Plato After Network Setup

  1. Print the Epson printer self-test or network status page and note the IP address and port.
  2. Open Restaurant > Settings > Device Management.
  3. Add a Printer device.
  4. Set Connection Config to Network.
  5. Enter the Epson printer IP address and port.
  6. Configure Template for receipts, kitchen tickets, void tickets, reports, or cash drawer.
  7. Connect the printer to the correct POS from Connected Devices.
Use Ethernet for fixed Epson receipt, kitchen, and bar printers. Use Wi-Fi only when the printer is close enough to the router for stable signal.

Checks

If the Epson printer does not print, check power, paper direction, closed cover, network status, and whether the IP address in Plato matches the printer status page.
