# Add A Device

> Create a POS, KDS, printer, display, or mesh device.

Add every device that your restaurant will use during service.

## Open Device Management

From Device Management, click `Add Device`.

## Choose The Device Type

Choose the type that matches the physical device:

* POS.
* KDS.
* Printer.
* Display Screen.
* Plato Mesh.

## Name The Device

Use a name the team recognizes.

Good examples are `Main Cashier`, `Kitchen KDS`, `Bar Printer`, and `Pickup Display`.

## Save And Continue Setup

After saving, open the device again to configure the settings that apply to that device type.
