# Add A Product

> Add the basic product details customers and staff need.

Use `Add Product` when creating a new sellable item.

## Fill The Main Details

Add:

1. Product name.
2. Short intro.
3. Description.
4. Price.
5. Preparation time.
6. Category.
7. Images when available.

Keep the name short. Put extra details in the intro or description.

## Choose The Category

Choose the category that matches how customers browse.

If the category does not exist yet, create it first from [Categories](/restaurant/menu-management/categories).

## Save, Then Test

After saving the product, add it to a menu from the Builder and open the public menu to confirm it looks right.
