# General Settings

> Update menu name, type, price visibility, public URL, and deletion.

General settings control the identity and public URL for one menu.

## Menu Name

Use the menu name customers and staff will recognize.

Keep it short enough to scan in the menu list.

## Menu Type

Choose the type that matches the menu experience.

For a public customer menu, use the online menu type.

## Price Visibility

Choose whether prices should be shown on the public menu.

Most ordering menus should show prices. A view-only or inquiry menu may hide them.

## Menu URL

Update the domain and slug when the public URL needs to change.

After changing a URL, test any QR codes or printed links that already exist.
