# Add Blocks

> Add sections, media, and layout blocks to an online menu.

Blocks control the structure of the public menu.

## Open The Block Menu

1. Open the menu.
2. Go to `Builder`.
3. Click `Add Block`.

## Use Layout Blocks

Use layout blocks when you want to shape the page before adding products.

Common uses:

* Add a section for a category or campaign.
* Add an image for a visual banner.
* Add a video when it helps explain the offer.
* Add a modal when customers need to open more detail.

Keep the page easy to scan. Too many layout blocks can make the menu harder to use.
