# Sunmi Built-In Terminals

> Configure built-in printers on Sunmi Android POS terminals.

Use this page when the printer is inside the Sunmi POS terminal, not a separate Ethernet or Wi-Fi printer.

## Plato Connection Type

| Terminal printer | Plato setting |
| ---------------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| Built-in Sunmi printer | `Built-In Printer` or `Android Driver` |

Do not enter an IP address for a built-in terminal printer unless the site is using an external network printer.

## Configure In Plato

1. Open `Restaurant` > `Settings` > `Device Management`.
2. Add a `Printer` device.
3. Name it clearly, such as `Sunmi Built-In Receipt`.
4. Set the connection method to `Built-In Printer` or `Android Driver`.
5. Configure receipt template settings.
6. Connect the printer to the Sunmi POS device.
7. Test from the same Sunmi terminal.

## Print A Device Test

Use the Sunmi device settings or hardware/diagnostics app when available:

1. Open the Sunmi system settings or device tools app.
2. Find printer, diagnostics, or hardware test.
3. Print a test page.
4. If the device test fails, check paper, cover, and the terminal printer hardware before changing Plato.

## Reset Or Restart

1. Restart the Sunmi terminal from Android power options.
2. If the terminal is frozen, use the Sunmi hardware restart procedure for that device model.
3. Do not factory reset the Android terminal unless support asks for it.

## Troubleshooting

If Plato does not print but the Sunmi device test prints, check the printer connection type, POS connected devices, paper size, and receipt template.
