# Turn On KDS Voice Alerts

> Configure voice events for hands-free kitchen alerts.

KDS includes a Voice Assistant option for kitchen events.

Use it when audio cues help the team notice new or changed orders.

## Enable Voice Assistant

Open KDS settings, choose `Voice Assistant`, then turn it on.

## Choose A Voice

Choose the voice that is easiest for the kitchen to understand.

## Choose Events

Events can include:

* New order.
* Void item.
* Cancel order.
* Read order.

Only enable the events that help the team act faster.
